This is a sweet and sour pork hock recipe as the name of the dish suggested, so it is definitely with the full taste of sweet and sour aroma effect , but I used to cook my pork hock with red bean curd , five spicy powder and dark soy sauce etc…😁 this time I tried here with a second choice of cooking it with black garlic vinegar and osmanthus syrup which is full of flavor too. Why not ?

Ingredients:
1 big Pork Hock..2 lbs( 800-900 g)

Mixed Sweet and sour perverted vegetable as shown..1 cup each ..more or less😆
( ginger, five color shredded veggies ,pickled buckwheat with sweet and sour flavor )

Black garlic vinegar 1 cup
Water..1500ml
Osmanthus syrups 1/3 cup

Salt to taste .. sprinkle 1 tbsp of salt over the cleaned pork hock chunks , a bit pepper as well

Steps..
1: scrape skin of pork hock with a sharp knife to remove tiny hair and dirt , wash and a quick blanch to remove the bubbles and odor too.

2: chopped pork hock into big chunks ,blanch again with half cup of white vinegar for one minute then rinse in running cool water for 1 minute more..drain and pat dry , set aside.

3: heat oil in a pot ,add ginger and garlic and stir fry till fragrant

4: Add pork hock chunks onto the pot and stir fry two minutes with medium heat till brown and briskly . Add water and black garlic vinegar, bring to boil then slimmer with medium low heat for 45 mins.( flipping halfway through to make sure it is evenly cooked )

5: Add osmanthus syrup , sweet and sour shredded veggies onto the pot , and slimmer for another 10 mins, adjust seasoning with more sugar and salt to taste accordingly.

LaLa ..La… Done😀

Dish up😋
