Onion Corn Beef Buns~咸牛肉包子

This is a simple bun making as all mama made at home,sometimes I even don’t use any measurement…

For the dough :

1: Three glasses or bowls of all purpose flour

2: 1 1/2 to 2 same size bowl of warm water

3: 1 teaspoon active dry yeast

4:  1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

5:  1/4 cup of vegetable oil

6: 1/4 cup of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of salt

In a regular mixing  bowl mix all dough ingredients except oil and

knead by hand until smooth, then add oil  at last ,knead again…

Till  a smooth dough ball is formed,cover with a damp cloth and

let it rest for 30 mins…while the dough is resting, it’s time for

Filling:

1:  2 small onions finely chopped

2:  1 bowl of corn beef   dash of black pepper

Heat the oil in a wok over medium heat, stir -fry onion and corn beef for 2-3 mins,  add black pepper, dish up  and  set aside

After the dough has rested 30 mins, divide in eveness parts…

50 gm…

add some filling and pleat the buns…roll into a round shape ,

thicker in the center,thinner around the edges  ….

stuff and shape, then  rest  10-15 mins more.

Place each bun on a parchment square,and steam 15 mins

  (best steam with bamboo steamer..and start with cold water)

after 15 mins, turn off the stove..slightly open the lid,rest 10 mins more..

     Tasty and soft bun bun are ready to serve~
