Fragrant Turmeric Beef Short Ribs with Coconut [email protected]

Fresh turmeric  and fresh coconut milk team up together to give this beef short ribs an irresistible aroma, no sugar and sauce added, sure the flavor is amazing and it is easy to prepare.

An ultimate recipe for  perfect dinner on a fall evening…

Ingredients : ( 6-8 servings)

1 – Beef short ribs            1.5 kg

2 – red potato  ( medium size )                 5-6

3 – garlic                            1 head

4 – fresh turmeric             3-4 pieces

5 – Fresh coconut milk     1000 ml

6 – turmeric powder          2 tbsp

7 – paprika                           1 tbsp

8 – dried bay leaves          2-3  (optional )

Preparation –

1- beef short ribs clean and cut ,

–  then marinate with 2 tbsp of turmeric powder,and 1 tbsp of paprika for 15 minutes…

2- put potatoes onto a big pot of water,  bring to boil …

– then boil 15 minutes..

2 – after 15 minutes, rinse  potato under  running cold water for 5 minutes…

3 – drain, peel and cut into medium pieces

4 – after peel and cut, soak potato into a bowl of cold water, set aside.

-both  turmeric and garlic peeled and diced , set aside.

Steps : 

1 – heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat…

2 – saute diced garlic and turmeric till fragrant..

3 – carefully place short ribs onto the pot and saute till fragrant and lightly browned..

4 –  pour 500 ml   ( half box) coconut milk , cover and slimmer 30 minutes

5 – drain potato, add to the pot and gently mix well…

– add the other half box of coconut milk  (500 ml ) and slimmer 30 minute…

– salt to taste..( no sugar added as fresh coconut milk is optimum sweeten )

6 – done and serve hot.
