Easy Puff Pastry~Apple,Cranberry and Walnut Braid

Ingredients:

1 1 Package Frozen  Puff Pastry (defrosted overnight in refrigerator…)

2: 1/2  cup Chopped walnuts   1/2 cup Chopped dried cranberries

3: 1 apple,peeled and thinly sliced

4: 1 egg, beaten   , butter 10 gm   cinnamon powder 1 tbsp

Steps: 

Preheat oven to 400°F

1:  soak apple slices in salty water for couple mins, drained and dash with cinnamon powder,set aside.

2: Toast walnut in a fry pan, add cranberry,add butter and stir until fragrant,set aside.

3: Whisk  together egg and 1 tsp of honey  in a small bowl, set aside.

4: Roll out two pastry on a slightly floured surface…..

5: Spoon walnut  , cranberry mixture and apple slice over one pastry…

6: Top with second  pastry ,   bind the edges with water

7: Cut 1 1/2 inch wide strips on either side of the pastry

8: Fold strips on each side alternately   to create a braid

9: Place pastry onto a parchment lined sheet, egg wash  and ready to bake

10: Bake 20-25 mins or until pastry is golden

                                             Cut into smaller slices and serve hot, enjoy.
